About Us
As Springfield natives and Missouri State University Agriculture Graduates, it is important for us to educate and engage with our local community. The Plant Room started out by selling houseplants on Facebook, Etsy, and in local plant groups and quickly opened a brick & mortar location in June 2021. We restock with new plants weekly and always have something new to choose from. Be looking out for our classes and workshops in the summer.

What sets The Plant Room apart from other plant shops or nurseries is our mission to educate our customers and clients. It is our duty to help keep you keep your plants alive when they leave our care. We offer a free "The Plant Room Support Group," for added advice from home. We are the home to one of a kind artwork from over 40 local artists and makers. We offer in house grown high quality rare and exotic plants that are very hard to find. Stop by our shop for a made to order custom soil mix for your specific houseplant variety.
