About Us
Our urban apiary is modeled after the very successful Detroit Hives, Inc. concept created by Timothy Paule and Nicole Lindsey. Our mission, like theirs is to transform vacant lots into bee farms for the conservation of honeybees, to help spread bee awareness and to educate our communities and local schools about bees and their contribution to our environment.
Product Description
We raise honeybees that forage around the Blue Hills neighborhood and the neighborhood organic community garden. Our pollinators are replenishing Kansas City in ways that sustain a healthy community. We are reclaiming vacant lots and turning blighted property into beautifully ‘wild’ pollinator landscapes.
Locations
Locations: Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am-1pm. Sundays 9am-11am.
Our honey and bee merchandise will be available at 5030 Wabash Ave, KC, MO (at the top of page). Pick up only at Wabash.
