High Springs Farm, located on the outskirts of Buffalo, MO, began as a typical cow-calf operation that raised and sold black angus cattle direct to other cattlemen or through sale barns. Beginning in 2013, the business model was modified to meet the growing demand for grass-fed/grass-finished beef raised without the use of growth hormones, antibiotics or grains. We then redesigned our marketing plant to sell directly to health-conscious consumers via our website, farmers' markets and at our farm, where visitors can tour our farming operation and buy our beef products.

High Springs Farm's mission is to manage a farming operation that sustains and improves the existing ecosystem by using methods that promote soil health, enhance grazing management and apply natural systems to raise a superior grass-fed beef product.
Igh Springs Farm has reached out to certifying agencies to ensure we are meeting the exacting standards of the burgeoning grass-fed movement. In this process, we became the first farm in Missouri to be designated as a USDA Certified Grass-fed Beef Cattle Producer in the small, very small producer category. We also became an Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) farmer in full compliance with AWA standards for grass-fed beef cattle. Moreover, High Springs Farm received the 2014 Dallas County Award for ‘Outstanding Accomplishments in the Conservation of Soil, Water, Land Related Resources'.
Products can be purchased at the Springfield, MO Farmers' Market, on our website and at the farm. We also take orders over the telephone.
For large orders, we will deliver to residences in the greater Springfield, MO area, and for a whole beef order, we will deliver to the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.
