Known for its spectacular bluff top view of the Missouri River Valley, The Blufftop at Rocheport is one of Mid-Missouri's premier cultural and recreational attractions. A family owned and operated winery, The Blufftop at Rocheport offers visitors a taste of some of the Show-Me State's finest award-winning wines, exquisite bistro cuisine and beautiful scenery.
The Blufftop offers a unique combination of rural quaintness and convenient accessibility. Located just one mile off I-70 about halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis, The Blufftop is a popular destination for tourists drawn to Rocheport by its fine antique shops, world-class bed and breakfasts and easy access to the Katy Trail.
The Blufftop offers full service, blufftop dining year-round at The Bistro at Les Bourgeois Vineyards, which opened in November of 1996. The A-Frame Winegarden is a favorite warm-weather retreat for picnickers from surrounding communities. The winery and The Tasting Room located just off the Rocheport Exit (115) are a popular stop for travelers seeking a respite from 1-70 or unique souvenirs their friends will appreciate.
Product Description
Les Bourgeois Vineyards uses the traditional European winemaking technique of blending--combining various types of grapes to achieve the desired balance of sugar, acidity and texture.
Blending frees our winemaker to creatively maximize the potential of each year's fruits, adding dimension and complexity to the wines we produce. Many of our wines utilize grapes that thrive in Missouri's climate and soil. These distinctive French hybrid and Native American grapes give our wines a character that is uniquely Missourian.
