Martha and Earnie Bohner began Persimmon Hill Farm in 1982 planting blueberries. Since that time the farm has grown to include blackberries, gooseberries, elderberries and shiitake mushrooms.
The bulk of their produce is picked by farm guests (U-Pick.) They also have a small restaurant on the farm serving locally grown produce.
This is the home of the "Thunder Muffin" a huge blueberry muffin enjoyed by guests by itself or as a super desert with ice cream, whip cream fresh blueberries and a drizzle of their blueberry syrup. There is also an on farm kitchen that produces a number of jams, sauces and syrups available for purchase at the restaurant.

On farm produce includes, U-pick or pre-picked blueberries, blackberries, gooseberries and shiitake mushrooms. Frozen blueberries and blackberries are available most of the year to farm guests.
The farm kitchen produces blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, strawberry rhubarb, elderberry, nutty blue goose, and gooseberry black walnut jams.

Blueberry BBQ Sauce, Blackberry Glaze, Raspberry Summer Sauce and Shiitake Mushroom Sauce.
Blueberry, Blueberry Maple and Blueberry Amaretto Syrups.
Elderberry juice is bottled at persimmon hill farm from their own elderberries and from elderberries brought to the farm for processing from our region.
Persimmon Hill Farm is located about an hour and fifteen minutes South of Springfield Missouri off Hwy 86. From Kimberling City take hwy 13 South through Lampe go 3 miles to 86. Turn Right on Hwy 86 and go 4 miles West. Turn Right at the small Vacant Convenience Store building (you will see our sign) then follow the Bear signs 1.5 miles to Persimmon Hill Berry Farm.
